The neon intermittent lights of Virgin Megastore.
The honks and cheers along the far-from-sullen Broadway.
All these very much resemble and remind us of how abundantly blessed we are in this
world. Amidst the life and everything that pleases, the very same dimension that we live in is also displeased by famine, haunted by abuse, deafened by cries. We often question with displeasure, sigh in dissatisfaction and many a time, utter why. More often than not, our whys measure equality and fairness.
world. Amidst the life and everything that pleases, the very same dimension that we live in is also displeased by famine, haunted by abuse, deafened by cries. We often question with displeasure, sigh in dissatisfaction and many a time, utter why. More often than not, our whys measure equality and fairness.
More often than not we should, this time, why don't we at least, wonder, why not?
Is it fair?
Is it fair to the homeless that we have a home?
Is it fair to the hungry that we have more than a piece of bread?
Is it fair to the hurricane victims that what we only do is to flip them from TV channels to the next?
Take a look around. And think.
I am certain that you and I shall agree that fairness is actually taking sides with us.
Stop thinking that the grass is always greener across and over the hedge.
People with the greener lawn!
YES YOU AND I.
Let us reach out. Let us be the impact. It is true that one can make a difference, but with US, we can change the world.
" Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need your help..."
~ Isa 58:7 (NLT)
